Only one Kitty
For as long as people have gathered things worth carrying, there has been a basket—one of the oldest forms in human craft, made to move through the world with its owner.
Kitty carries that purpose with a particular grace, moving from the garden to the kitchen with a quiet, substantial presence. She was created for the home that values a deep sense of story and the unhurried rhythm of the maker.
Brittany wove Kitty from rattan reed, by hand, start to finish—and then she wove in color. Bands of blush and sage run through the natural reed, creating a texture that feels less like a pattern and more like shifting light.
The result is a piece that is sculptural enough to be displayed as art, yet possesses the quiet strength required for daily life.
Her name is hers alone. It belongs to this specific weave and this specific moment in the studio. Once Kitty is adopted, her name retires into history.
